My client, UK’s largest independently employee-owned BMS company, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their dynamic Data Centre Projects Division. This is an onsite role focused on high-stakes data centre environments. Candidates must be located within a comfortable travelling distance of Slough, West Drayton, or Hayes.
Responsibilities include:
- Commission, coordinate, and complete BMS installations within set timescales and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct thorough functional testing and verification of BMS components and software.
- Assist the project team in developing critical documentation and software, including DOPs, plant/point schedules, network designs, and controller software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues encountered during the commissioning process.
- Provide project engineering and management for small to medium-sized projects, managing single or multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Experience with Tridium or ALC is advantageous, though training is available.
Industry Experience:
- Proven experience in the building controls industry and a solid understanding of mechanical plant.
- Previous experience in data centre environments is highly favourable.
- Extensive experience in BMS control strategy design, engineering, and commissioning.
Essential Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence, PC literacy, and a valid CSCS skill card (or equivalent).
