Myn is currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Senior Social Workers to join high-performing Adult Social Care teams within a forward-thinking local authority. This is an excellent opportunity for an exemplary practitioner ready to take on a leadership role, champion reflective practice, and support adults and carers to achieve independence through person-centred, strength-based social work.
The Opportunity:
- Manage a complex caseload while providing professional leadership, mentoring colleagues and promoting innovative, high-quality adult social care practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex cases involving risk and safeguarding concerns
- Leading Adult Safeguarding Enquiries in line with statutory procedures
- Undertaking strengths-based assessments and developing person-centred support plans
- Promoting independence through Direct Payments and Personal Budgets
- Chairing planning and review meetings
- Deputising for the Assistant Team Manager/Team Manager when required
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, ASYEs and students
- Supporting reflective practice and professional development across the team
- Working collaboratively with families, carers and partner agencies
- Developing community-based support solutions
- Maintaining accurate case records, assessments and reports
- Applying key Adult Social Care legislation including the Care Act, MCA, MHA and Human Rights legislation
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
- Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care
- Strong knowledge of Adult Safeguarding, Care Act, MCA and Mental Health legislation
- Experience managing complex cases and safeguarding enquiries
- Supervisory or mentoring experience
- Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills
- A strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice
- Ability to lead, mentor and model best practice
