Senior Data Architect

The Opportunity

We are currently partnering with multiple clients, ranging from established financial services organisations to innovative technology consultancies across the United Kingdom, who are looking for strategic Senior Data Architects to help shape their data future. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in designing robust data ecosystems that drive digital transformation and support long-term organisational growth. If you are a visionary architect looking to make a genuine impact on enterprise-level data strategy, these roles offer the perfect platform to elevate your career.

The Role

In this position, you will act as the crucial bridge between complex business objectives and technical execution, defining target-state architectures and developing comprehensive data roadmaps. You will oversee the end-to-end data lifecycle—from analysing legacy systems to designing modern, cloud-native platforms—while establishing the governance frameworks necessary to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, you will ensure that all architectural decisions are scalable, high-performance, and fully aligned with the broader business strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience in enterprise data architecture, strategy, and roadmap development.
  • Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, and Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in designing and migrating to cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Deep understanding of data integration patterns, including ETL, APIs, and middleware.
  • Ability to reverse-engineer legacy systems and map complex data flows.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading data migration programmes and managing data lifecycle requirements.
