Responsibilities
- Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or childcare setting is desirable
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development stages
- Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Safeguarding/Child Protection training (or willingness to complete)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Enhanced DBS check (or equivalent background check) required
- Basic understanding of health and safety and hygiene practices in a childcare setting

- What will you be doing
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
- Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
- Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
- Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
- Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
- Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
- Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
