Proficient in leveraging BIM technologies and CAD software to develop comprehensive designs for networking infrastructure, security layouts, and AV systems within commercial and residential environments. Detail-oriented and skilled Wi‑Fi Heatmap Design Survey with specialized expertise in conducting wireless network surveys and creating accurate heatmaps for optimal Wi‑Fi coverage. Experienced in collaborating with IT teams, network engineers, and facility managers to implement effective Wi‑Fi solutions that meet specific coverage and performance requirements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Structured Cabling/Security/AV Key Tasks:
- To use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawings
- To use Revit to coordinate and prepare 3D models, 2D drawings and COBie output
- Structured Cabling Design
- Security Systems Layouts (CCTV, Access Control)
- Audio Visual Systems Integration
- Cable Tray and Pathway Design
- Perform Clash Detection, Coordination and Collaboration
- To measure pre-terminated cable lengths using Rapid Deployment software
- To support LMG’s Projects/Bids/Smallworks workstreams and provide necessary information
- Perform Wi‑Fi Network Surveying Design using Ekahau software
- Create Report Generation and Documentation
- Provide Field of View (FOV) Design Optimization using IP Video Design software
- To place Camera and select appropriate lens to maximise FOV
- Create Documentation and Reporting to support design
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings of building systems and components using CAD software like AutoCAD or Revit. These drawings may include floor plans, elevations, sections, and schematics.
- Learn how to use and understand Heatmap Survey, CCTV Field of View and cable measuring CAD software packages.
- Work closely with designers, project teams and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and translate conceptual sketches into accurate CAD drawings.
- Incorporate smart building technologies into designs, such as IoT devices, sensors, and automated systems.
- Utilize BIM software to develop intelligent models that capture both geometric and non-geometric data about building components.
- Maintain and update CAD drawings as design changes occur throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review CAD drawings to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
- Assist in collaborating and coordinating design efforts with various project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers.
- Keep abreast of advancements in CAD software, smart building technologies, and industry standards.
- Ensure that CAD designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Organize and manage CAD files and project documentation to ensure efficient retrieval and sharing of information among project team members.

Role Pre-Requisites Qualifications
- Essential Minimum five A*-C (4-9) GCSE's or equivalent, including Maths or English and Technical Drawing.
- Autodesk AutoCAD Certification
- Autodesk Revit Certification
- Desirable Certificate in Wi‑Fi Survey Design (e.g. Ekahau, AirMagnet)
- Industry and role-specific qualifications, including higher level technical and management qualifications.
- Full clean driving licence.
Experience
- Essential 3 years’ minimum experience of AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
- 1 year’s minimum experience on Revit (3D)
- Knowledge of the building industry regarding IT cabling infrastructure, security and audio-visual systems is essential.
- BIM (Building Information Modelling) knowledge
