About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Podiatrist to join our team in Bangor, Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to deliver high-quality foot and lower-limb care to a diverse patient base and work across clinic-based appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of foot and lower-limb conditions
- Provide routine podiatry care including nail surgery, biomechanical assessments, and wound management
- Develop and implement individualised treatment and care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with clinical governance standards
- Liaise with GPs, consultants, and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Provide patient education on foot health and preventative care
- Ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety regulations
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in Ireland (mandatory — please confirm your eligibility to work in Ireland when applying)
- Full, clean driving licence (mandatory — some travel to patients/clinics required)
- Recognised qualification in Podiatry/Chiropody (BSc or equivalent)
- Registration with CORU (Podiatrists Registration Board) or eligibility for same
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
Desirable
- Previous experience in a clinical or community podiatry setting
- Experience with biomechanics, sports injuries, or diabetic foot care
