– Main rate: £12.71 per hour
– Overtime rate: £15.89 per hour
6 Core Responsibilities of a Store Assistant (Cashier)
- Ensuring all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures are followed
- Handling sales transactions accurately as a till operator/cashier
- Supporting merchandising and stock replenishment (shelves, fridges, displays)
- Assisting with daily store operations in a food retail environment
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming store at all times
What You Need to Succeed as a Store Assistant (Cashier)
- Previous experience in food retail preferred but not essential (training provided)
- Basic English and spoken knowledge of any Eastern European language (Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, etc.)
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Ability to work flexible retail shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
