MYM Recruitment are delighted to be continuing to work with our client who are based in Derry/Londonderry. Their wealth of knowledge and experience means they are constantly innovative, bringing new products and solutions to their clients. Due to company growth, they are now looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and support the Accounts Administrator, ensuring high performance and accuracy across all finance tasks.
  • Oversee daily finance operations including sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and credit control.
  • Ensure internal finance procedures are followed and continuously improved.
  • Manage and improve the full credit control cycle, including customer onboarding, credit limits, and aged debtor monitoring.
  • Produce credit note analysis and ensure correct control and authorisation of credit notes.
  • Drive debtor day targets.
  • Resolve customer queries promptly to support timely payments.
  • Oversee customer receipts, allocation of payments, and sales ledger housekeeping.
  • Ensure accuracy of delivery notes, pick notes, and filing requirements.
  • Deliver accurate month-end accounts within 5 working days.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, departmental reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor cash position on a regular basis.
  • Support budgeting, expense management, and financial planning.
  • Provide working capital insights and process improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain strong internal financial controls and documentation.
  • Oversee employee expenses, budgets, and approvals.
  • Ensure financial system accuracy, data integrity and housekeeping.
  • Lead system and process improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Finance Manager in a high volume-based business.
  • Ability to manage own work plan and meet pre-agreed deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill in the use of excel spreadsheets.
  • The ability to provide good customer service and resolve concerns and complaints from customers.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • The ability to handle daily deadlines within a volume-based environment.
