They wish to recruit a highly driven, hands-on Estimating Assistantto help the estimating team with compiling cost estimates.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Assess material, labour and plant requirements.
Prepare correspondence to various parties for purposes of obtaining estimates.
Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain package estimates.
Review and assess tenders ensuring all tender documents are received and correct.
Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
Plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
To work in accordance with company Integrated Management System standards.
Prepare relevant reports.
Update information as required.
To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training.
To always represent and implement an excellent Public Relations and professional image of our Company to our clients, design teams, public and within the Company.
To undertake other tasks as and when required.
Essential
Criteria: 1 years experience in an Accounts or Construction related role.
Good educational attainment including min GCSE/equivalent Mathematics & English.
Excellent IT skills and working experience on a range of IT packages Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines Good decision making and problem-solving skills Strong commercial acumen.
HND qualification in engineering / quantity surveying / building surveying or other construction related discipline desirable.
