We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in South West London for a specialist Eating Disorders service within a high-profile mental health organisation. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead in clinical care, drive service development and shape the future of eating disorder treatment in a dynamic and supportive environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals with complex eating disorders.
- Our service takes a holistic approach combining psychological therapies, medical management, and nutritional rehabilitation to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.
- As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in each patient’s journey, overseeing assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- You will also provide leadership, supervision, and clinical expertise to ensure that all patients receive safe, dignified and person-centred care.
- Provide senior clinical leadership to the Eating Disorders service, guiding and supporting a diverse clinical team.
- Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary formulations and care plans.
- Deliver and monitor effective treatment pathways aligned with NICE guidelines.
- Contribute to service development, governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster collaborative relationships with community teams, families and external agencies to promote continuity of care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist (Eating Disorders).
- CCT or equivalent in Psychiatry.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- Have an updated CV of your work experience and skills.
