We are now seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Drum Teacher to join our team and help foster a lifelong love of music in our pupils.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality individual tuition in drums to pupils from Prep One to Prep Six. The role includes preparing pupils for performances, assemblies, scholarships and examinations, and contributing to the broader musical life of the school through ensemble direction and event support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate drum tuition to pupils aged 5–11
  • Inspire confidence, musicality, and enjoyment in young learners of all abilities
  • Prepare pupils for school concerts, scholarships and music examinations
  • Lead or support school ensembles and collaborate with other instrumental teachers
  • Liaise with relevant staff to contribute to the development of the school’s music programme
  • Communicate progress with parents as required, including one parents’ evening per year and an annual report
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have a music degree or equivalent professional qualification in their principal instrument
  • Have experience teaching young children, ideally within a school setting
  • Be enthusiastic, patient and adaptable to the learning needs of primary-aged pupils
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Have flexibility to assist with after school events and concerts (Desirable)
  • Have an aptitude in using simple ICT
