MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE The Warehouse Operative will ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.

ACCOUNTABILITES This role will involve the following responsibilities: Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and containers.

Breaking down pallets.

Picking and packing: Using handheld scanners to pick orders for delivery.

Building and wrapping stock onto pallets for delivery.

Storing stock appropriately.

Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck.

Inputting data into computers.

Assisting with stock takes.

Keeping a clean and tidy warehouse and yard.

Working and communicating with different teams within the business daily General warehouse maintenance duties.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in a similar role.

Experience of manual handling.

Good time keeping and attendance record.

Must be an excellent team player.

Ability to meet regular targets.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Be willing to follow all health and safety guidelines.

Be willing to work overtime and flexible to work different shifts as and when necessary.

Be willing to undergo any internal/external training that may be required.

Desirable Skills & Experience Full Driving Licence.

Forklift Truck Licence.

Delivery Driving Experience Previous working knowledge with Kerridge or other WMS/ERP systems.
