Contract z/OS System Programmer (Multiple roles)

Inside IR35 Contract for 6 months (potential extensions in to 2026)
Remote First (2 days per month travel to Barnsley HQ – home location anywhere is fine as long as you are happy to do the travel)

About
My partner client who we have had up to 120 contractors working at one time with, are seeking multiple experienced individual’s to come in as part of a scale out of the team in the z/OS area. You will operate, maintain and constantly upgrade on projects that cover UK, USA and EU.
You will also be involved in programming, creating functional/technical design solutions, maintaining, deployment, planning, configuration and testing.
Key ‘Must Haves’
- Highly experienced with z/OS operating systems
- ISV product experience from vendors IBM & CA
- Production support
- Mainframe systems programming
- SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF & JCL
- IBM & CA knowledge
- Exceeds standards and worked to urgent deadlines
- Communication skills and able to articulate professionally to various colleagues
- Understanding of risk management and regulations
- On-call rota will be involved
Bonus Skills
- Assembler, Automation, GDPS, Rexx & CLIST
- Performance monitoring, Omegamon, RMF, SMF & SAS
- Financial Services, Banking and Global project/client experience
