Salary: depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical and electrical background to join our maintenance team.
Reporting to the Production Manager and liaising closely with other departments, the successful candidate will have specific skills to maintain, repair, fault-find and change parts in regards to paint manufacturing and production equipment. As well as maintaining other equipment on site.
Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment for our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdown problems in a timely and effective manner
- Record maintenance and repair work performed and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies
- Carry out quality inspections on equipment and systems
- Liaise with departments other engineers and production colleagues as well as external contractors
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
- Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
- Monitor and control maintenance costs
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, keeping abreast of any changes to regulations
- Ensure there is continuous cover for the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
- Experience repairing heavy machinery and plant equipment
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience with similar role/ environment
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering (HND Minimum level)
- Electrical installation β (18 Edition) IEE wiring regulations
