Due to unprecedented demand from our partnership schools, Hays Recruitment is looking to appoint a number of motivated and reliable teaching assistants to join our supply teaching assistant pool for the Winsford and Northwich areas. This is an exciting opportunity to get registered with an inclusive and supportive supply agency that not only works around your preferences and personal circumstances, but also pays fairly.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant with Hays, you will be joining an extremely supportive and understanding supply team. You will have the ability to pick and choose your own availability with flexible working options in the Winsford and Northwich areas. You will have the opportunity to work in one of a number of our partnership schools on a supply and day-to-day basis, meaning this would be the perfect opportunity for those that require additional days, added flexibility, or some additional cash ahead of the summer. We work with a large number of mainstream primary, secondary and SEN schools across the borough, with demand being seen for sickness cover on a daily and weekly basis.

As a teaching assistant with Hays, your duties will typically include:

  • Intervention and booster sessions in core subjects
  • Phonics assessments and boosters (dependent on year groups)
  • General classroom and behaviour management
  • Implementing positive behaviour strategies (traffic light systems, DOJO, reward charts, positive reinforcement, etc)
  • 1:1 SEN support

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered to join our amazing supply team, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as recent referenceable classroom experience, as well as:

  • Experience delivering intervention and boosters in core subjects
  • Experience delivering positive behaviour support
  • Be able to commit to a full working day 8:30am - 3:30pm
