Calderdale College is seeking a Student Finance Assistant to join the Student Services team. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that effective administrative services are provided to students who access the Learner Services Unit. This includes Guaranteed & Discretionary Learner Support Fund Bursary processing and arranging student payments, administering Care to Learn, administering letter production and completion of basic references for students.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of database spreadsheets and general office procedures and systems. A knowledge of Pay My Student and EBS would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given. A sound working knowledge of Word and Excel is essential in this post. The post holder will ideally have experience of enabling vulnerable learners to take advantage of the financial and personal support mechanisms available within the unit.
