Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK's largest privately owned transport Company and we are looking to recruit LGV Class 1 Container Drivers in our Southampton depot. Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday pattern - Tramping.
As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service. Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.
The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members. We are always keen to take on experienced drivers and recognize the knowledge and strengths you can bring to the organisation.
Successful applicants MUST have the following:
- Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)
- Driver CPC & Tacho Card
- 35 hours CPC
- Container experience (preferred)
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
(No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)

Average earnings estimated annually Β£38,500 to Β£41,500*.
