Warehouse Operative
Join Alliance Healthcare , part of Cencora , supporting one of Europe's leading pharmaceutical wholesale distribution networks.
- Location: LS11 0LR
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 8:00pm
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Pay Rate: £13.53 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our Goods In team. You will play a vital role in ensuring all incoming stock is received accurately, checked thoroughly, and moved safely to the correct warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a VNA Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Receive, check and process incoming stock deliveries.
- Verify product descriptions, pack sizes, quantities, expiry dates and product condition.
- Record stock information accurately and complete all relevant paperwork.
- Prioritise critical and out-of-stock items on receipt.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across warehouse and loading bay areas.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and security procedures.
- Support the wider warehouse operation as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous Forklift Truck experience.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Strong awareness of customer service and quality standards.
Desirable:
- Previous warehouse experience.
Important Information
This role involves regular manual handling activities, including lifting, carrying and bending, which are essential requirements of the position.
