Want to help keep Hastings and Flaxmere safe, welcoming places for everyone to enjoy? We’re looking for a friendly, community-minded person to join our Kaitiaki team.

In this role, you’ll help create positive environments across Hastings District Council facilities by building good relationships with the community, supporting visitors and helping prevent anti-social behaviour. You’ll work closely with Council staff and the public to make sure our spaces remain safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone.

You don’t need years of experience to apply — what matters most is your attitude, communication skills and ability to connect well with people. We’re looking for an approachable, reliable person who is confident speaking with a wide range of community members.
