Taitara Mahi - Corporate Contracts and Facilities Manager

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Corporate Contracts and Facilities Manager to join our Finance and Procurement Group.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective operation of the Council’s central administration buildings, overseeing the Council’s vehicle fleet, and managing a range of key corporate contracts.
This is a diverse and hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You will lead a small team and work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery, value for money, and continuous improvement across facilities, fleet, and corporate contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing key corporate contracts (including energy, cleaning, fleet and office services)
- Overseeing fleet operations, utilisation, compliance and replacement planning
- Leading building maintenance, upgrades and facilities-related projects
- Ensuring site safety, security and compliance systems are maintained
- Developing and managing facility activity plans and budgets
- Providing strong leadership to the facilities and support services team

To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Proven experience managing contracts, buildings, and fleet operations
- Understanding of budgeting, compliance, and project delivery in a public or corporate setting
- Proactive leadership skills who motivates others and builds strong working relationships
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service ethic
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A qualification in Facilities Management, Business, or Project Management is desirable
