Job Description

Who are MYHR?

For the past 10 years, we’ve been supporting employers with all aspects of people management – we have the skills and expertise to resolve people problems, develop strategies for change and business improvement, and work through the most complex of workforce challenges so that our clients can keep their attention focused on delivering their own services.  We aren’t just a remote business partner though – we like our clients to know that if we are needed onsite, we’ll be there, and quite often – we are!

Based in Blackpool, Lancashire (South Shore) we are a small team of employed consultants, with some self-employed associates, and we support clients in all sectors, from hotels to hairdressers, councils to consultancies. Our clients range in size from 5 staff to upwards of 2000, and we provide a bespoke service to those who need added support to help them keep their businesses running, profitable and successful.

Our clients get to know us, and we get to know them well.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary for our HR Consultant roles, which would be dependent on skills and experience.

Our key offering though is flexibility: whilst we would want you to come and work from the office at least one day a week, we are able to offer excellent flexible working arrangements, which would include:

·        Hybrid working

·        Part-time hours – 3 or more days per week

·        Shorter or longer working days, to meet the needs of the business, our clients, and you

Description of the role

As one of our HR Consultants, you’ll support our clients, and our team, to be the best they can be.

For our clients, this includes:

·        Being the named contact for a portfolio of clients

·        Ensuring they have up to date and legally compliant employment documents, from handbooks to policies and contracts

·        Supporting clients with their HR casework, from absence management to disciplinary and grievance matters

·        Advising and supporting on change management initiatives, from team restructures to business buy-outs

·        Developing people strategies to enhance business success through their workforce

For our team, we’ll expect you to make a contribution to ensure we stay at the top of our game, and this could include:

·        Working together to keep the team up to date with legislation and best practice

·        Developing and reviewing our documents to ensure we are always providing the best possible resources for our clients

·        Finding ways to embed continuous improvement across the business

Who are we looking for?

For this role, we are looking for a well-rounded HR generalist, with experience of supporting managers through the day-to-day challenges of people management at operational level; if you have strategic level experience, that’s an added bonus! You could already be either at HR Adviser, Business Partner or Consultant level,  ideally CIPD qualified (but not essential) and with following key attributes:

●       You have a full understanding of all aspects of HR, including employee relations, development, leadership and reward.

●       You are familiar with UK employment legislation, with the ability to translate legislation into workable solutions for employers

●       You have a pragmatic approach to risk management, with experience of advising managers on the implications of numerous options for problem resolution

●       You have an excellent ability to build and maintain working relationships with clients

●       You can work under pressure and still maintain high quality customer service levels in all that you do

●       You have great business acumen, and

●       You are keen to learn and grow within your profession

Please note that we will need you to be a driver, and have access to your own vehicle, as our team visit clients regularly.

Salary : Competitive

We value and embrace difference, and so we are of course an equal opportunity employer. We will not unlawfully discriminate on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, disability or age, pregnancy or trade union membership.
