The Technology Team at Frontier are responsible for enabling revenue generation, improving excellence, driving innovation, and reducing risk across all of our UK and European offices. The team is made up of three distinct functions that focus on building partnerships in the areas of experience, cyber security and business technology. Job Description The Technology Data Operations Engineer is responsible for enhancing technology and security through data engineering, maintenance, and the improvement of critical business infrastructure and solutions. This role plays a key part in ensuring the seamless flow of data throughout the organisation, making it fluid, trusted, and scalable. Working closely with the Technology Operations Manager, the Technology Data Operations Engineer will deliver on collaboratively agreed objectives that support our people, clients, systems, and solutions. Key Responsibilities: Technology Operations Improvement: Maintain, improve, and protect all business systems and technology solutions, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance. Use data-driven insights to track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of technology operations and identify areas for improvement. Optimise, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and automation. Build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure for data pipelines. Monitor and troubleshoot data flow issues to ensure seamless operations. Operational Efficiency & Change Management: Contribute towards initiatives that optimise technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance in line with business objectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions meet operational needs and enhance overall business outcomes. Identify opportunities for efficiency using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate deployment and ensure consistency. Ensure data reliability and accuracy through rigorous validation, testing, and quality assurance processes. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with all functions within the Technology Partnership team on security and compliance to ensure adherence to industry standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Apply strong encryption, data masking, and secure transmission practices to protect sensitive data. Ensure robust access controls are applied across data pipelines. Collaborate with incident response teams to mitigate infrastructure vulnerabilities. Review and integrate threat detection into data workflows. Contribute towards data governance frameworks to maintain compliance with regulations. Stakeholder & Communication: Work closely with the Technology Operations Manager to deliver against defined operational objectives, contributing to the business\’s overall efficiency and success. Clearly communicate system opportunities, challenges, and outcomes to internal stakeholders, preparing reports and providing verbal updates to both technical and non-technical audiences. Act as a technical bridge between Technology Partnership teams, and other stakeholders to streamline workflows and enhance the quality of data products. Essential Requirements Experience working with cloud platforms, with particular focus and certifications in Azure capabilities such as engineering, administration, architecting and networking. Experience in building and optimising data pipelines and processes. Strong analytical skills to interpret and validate data through systematic testing. Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies. Experience working with Databricks Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Strong problem-solving mindset, with an ability to identify and address data inefficiencies. High attention to detail to ensure data consistency, reliability, and security. Desirable Skills and Experience Proficiency in French, German, or Spanish. Experience with real-time data processing and streamlining workflows. Experience in governance, compliance, and industry standards, particularly in technology and security frameworks. Knowledge of data visualisation through dashboards and reporting tools. Understanding of networking concepts and data security best practices. Ability to automate repetitive data tasks using scripts or workflow management tools. Familiarity with security best practices and how they apply to, infrastructure ecosystems, including networks, cloud solutions, system architecture, and cybersecurity capabilities., to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls. Experience in ERP and CRM solutions such as Workday, and Workbooks.
