The Role This role is for a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist with substantial experience in employee relations and organisational restructures within the financial services or public sector industries. The role holder will support a wide range of HR functions, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards, and driving HR initiatives that align with business strategy. Key Priorities Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and support on a range of employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and absence management. Act as a point of escalation for complex or high-risk employee relations cases, ensuring effective resolutions. Build strong relationships with line managers to guide and support them in managing employee relations matters effectively. Organisational Design: Partner with senior leaders to advise and lead organisational restructures, including workforce planning, redundancy processes, redeployment, and transition strategies. Ensure legal compliance and best practices are followed in managing redundancies or organisational changes. Advise and support both employees and managers on TUPE-related matters, including changes to terms and conditions of employment, rights, and protections. Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with best practices, legal requirements, and the organisation\’s strategic goals. Ensure HR practices are fully compliant with relevant employment legislation, particularly within the financial services or public sector environment. Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience Proven experience managing complex employee relations issues and restructuring processes, including redundancy and redeployment. In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, including TUPE regulations, employee relations, and redundancy procedures. Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Familiarity with HR software systems and data analysis tools. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and empathetically. Desired Qualification Familiarity with HRIS and ATS including Cascade, Networx and Vector CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
