This will include making recommendations for levies required to senior management, working on the Scheme’s levying process including calculations, and monitoring funds received. The role is also responsible for monitoring the Scheme’ cash position, ensuring funding arrangements are in place.Key prioritiesFinancial Analysis, Forecasting and ReportingSupport in the production of budgets and forecastsFinancial analysis of data sets (including compensation and claims data)Present analysis and recommendations to senior level managementPrepare relevant KPIs and scorecard metrics.Prepare month end reporting packs and commentary.Understanding and use finance systems including the Tagetik forecasting systemLeviesPartner with colleagues across the organisation to ensure all relevant levy forecasting inputs (costs and revenues) are obtained for the levy calculation modelMaintain calculation model and ensure all process documentation is kept up to dateWork with various teams to develop industry updates and levy publicationsBuild and maintain relationships with FCA revenue teamUnderstand the levy rules and support with answering levy related queries from industry bodies and levy payersWork with legal team to decide on outcome of levy credit requests from levy payersTreasuryMaintain cashflow forecast modelSupport in negotiating FSCS’ funding agreementsDevelop funding presentations for internal and external stakeholdersKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceWe have identified the following skills, knowledge, and experience as essential for success in this role however we understand that everyone’s learning journey is different and there is no one size fits all.
