As a Dynamics 365 Business Central consultant at CGI, you will design, configure, and extend Microsoft Business Central solutions to optimise finance, supply chain, and operational processes for our clients. Working in an Agile delivery environment, you will translate client requirements into practical, scalable configurations and extensions, support project lifecycles, and ensure secure, accessible, and high‑performing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise & optimise business central usage by providing subject‑matter expertise.
- Analyse client requirements and design robust functional solutions.
- Configure workflows, posting groups, dimensions and develop AL extensions.
- Integrate and enable APIs, data exchanges, and external integrations.
- Collaborate within Agile squads to guide deployment and go‑live activities.
- Document functional specifications and support testing activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and tooling.
Essential Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality and business process integration.
- Strong functional expertise across Finance, Supply Chain, Projects and related modules.
- Hands‑on experience with configuration, workflows, posting groups and dimensions.
- Experience writing and supporting extensions using AL coding.
- Ability to create high‑quality functional documentation.
- Experience with integrations, APIs and data exchange within Business Central.
- Proficiency in solution layering and custom API creation.
- Experience working effectively within Agile delivery squads.
- Experience with other Dynamics applications (CRM, Power Apps, Field Service) is desirable.
