About Us
As the home of iconic brands such as Baileys, Guinness, Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker, at Diageo we source, produce and deliver 6.5 billion litres of products each year to over 180 markets. Over half of our 30,000 employees work in supply, across more than 100 sites in over 30 countries. In Leven, we\'re proud of our modern, high-speed packaging site and the talented people who make it successful.
We offer a collaborative and inclusive workplace where you\'ll be empowered to share ideas, work safely, and contribute to continuous improvement. Whether you join us on a fixed-term contract or as a permanent team member, there are opportunities to grow your career and learn new skills within our fast-paced environment.
About The Role
As a Weekend Operator, you\'ll be part of a dedicated packaging team working hands-on with both manual and automated processes to deliver our products with excellence. You\'ll ensure health and safety standards are upheld, take ownership of operational KPIs, and play an active role in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives. From machine operation and changeovers to quality control and maintenance support, your contributions will help maintain a smooth and efficient packaging process. A flexible approach will also be required to provide cover during holidays or sickness.
You\'ll use business systems to record data, support line performance, and collaborate with colleagues across shifts to maintain consistent results. Building capability across more than one machine is encouraged to allow for \'flow to work\' as required.
What You\'ll Bring
We\'re looking for individuals who thrive in a team environment and take pride in delivering great performance. You should be proactive, quality-focused, and comfortable adapting to change. You\'ll be expected to challenge poor practices, contribute to team meetings, and actively seek improvement opportunities. Strong communication skills, problem-solving capability, and a willingness to learn will help you succeed in this role.
Previous experience in an FMCG or production environment is desirable but not essential. A forklift licence or NVQ Level 2 in Food & Drink would be advantageous.
Working with us
Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere. And creating an inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and that they can belong, is a crucial part of this.
We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you\'ll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. You\'ll be part of and help build and champion an inclusive culture that celebrates people of different gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, educational backgrounds, experiences, mindsets, and more.
Our ambition is to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. Join us and help transform our business as we take our brands to the next level and build new ones as part of shaping the next generation of celebrations for consumers around the world.
Feel inspired? Then this may be the opportunity for you!
