What You'll Do
- Event sales & client management
- Manage venue hire enquiries, client communication, proposals and contracts from enquiry through to confirmation
- Coordinate site visits and ensure a smooth experience for clients throughout the event journey
- Proactive sales & business development
- Identify and pursue new corporate and special event opportunities through outreach and networking
- Build strong relationships with agencies, organisations and businesses to generate repeat and referral business
- Venue positioning & market development
- Support the venue's profile within the corporate events market through targeted sales activity
- Carry out market awareness and competitor research to identify growth opportunities
- Marketing & sales activity
- Work with marketing colleagues on campaigns, sales tools and promotional materials
- Contribute to initiatives that increase awareness of the venue for corporate and private events
- Reporting & commercial performance
- Track and report on sales activity, pipeline progress and performance against targets
- Support forecasting, pricing discussions and financial planning to ensure event profitability
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a fast‐paced, high‐profile venue or events environment
- Background in sales, business development or commercial event delivery
- Confidence working with budgets, forecasting and cost control
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Comfortable presenting ideas and discussing event solutions with clients and stakeholders
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
Where: You'll be based at the venue in Wolverhampton. We work four days in the office and one day from home. We offer flexible start and end times and welcome flexible working conversations.
