As the Technical Training and Development Advisor at our Wrexham Plant, you will play a key role in shaping and driving strategies that support the implementation and continuous improvement of our technical training and capability-building programs. You will report directly to the Capability Lead and work closely with the Employee Development Co-ordinator, Compliance Learning Co-ordinator, and operational teams to ensure our workforce is equipped to meet the evolving demands of our business.
You will also collaborate with other manufacturing sites and internal stakeholders to share best practices and drive consistency across the network.
A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing
- SOP Development – Lead the creation, standardisation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures across all operational areas.
- Skills Matrix Leadership – Own and manage the Skills Matrix, ensuring alignment with plant equipment, processes, and business needs.
- Training Plan Development – Design and implement comprehensive training plans for new and existing employees, identifying and addressing skills gaps.
- Training Day Coordination – Organise and deliver engaging training days that provide valuable learning experiences for participants.
- Collaboration Across Functions – Partner with development teams to deliver high-quality training and capability-building initiatives.
- Skill Card Management – Develop and maintain accurate Skill Cards for all roles, ensuring they reflect current business requirements.
- Continuous Improvement – Support the progression of Skills Cards and contribute to the development of the Kellogg Working Systems Centre of Excellence.
- Strategic Planning Support – Contribute to the annual training plan for the Wrexham Plant, supporting the Capability Lead in strategic initiatives.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Demonstrable experience in developing and managing skills matrices.
- Proven track record in building and executing effective training plans.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus.
