The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the whole life cycle of the contingent worker process, initially focusing on the UK and adapting further to cover locations across Continental Europe. Contingent workers include consultants, contractors, and temporary suppliers who are not employed by the Firm.

You will sit within a team of professional recruiters, working closely with the wider HR function and other teams across the business. You will communicate regularly with hiring managers who require the services of a contingent worker or need to extend the services of an existing contingent worker, liaising with internal teams such as Tax, Procurement, and Risk to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

You will be responsible for ensuring that any contingent worker engaged by the firm is onboarded correctly and contracted via an approved model. You will provide ongoing support to hiring managers and act as a point of contact for contingent workers, monitoring the administration of various contingent worker processes carried out by the GSD team. Your remit includes conducting regular audits on contingent worker engagements and information stored in Workday to ensure data consistency, liaising closely with the GSD, Procurement, and Tax teams to identify efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding process for contingent workers by liaising closely with the GSD team.
  • Ensure all contingent workers are engaged on acceptable arrangements as set out by the Firm.
  • Create and send contingent worker agreements and extension paperwork.
  • Liaise with HR Business Partners, Risk, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and other internal departments regarding the engagement of contingent workers.
  • Advise hiring managers on IR35 and complete the IR35 questionnaire for Tax review.
  • Monitor agency workers and ensure compliance with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR).
  • Lead and coordinate the annual Ex-Partner consultant process.
  • Coordinate biannual reviews with Tax, HR, and Finance of all contingent workers.
  • Maintain and manage all contingent worker records in Workday and iManage.
  • Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of contingent worker processes and suggest/implement improvements.
  • Conduct annual supplier audits with the Procurement team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an administration role within a professional or corporate environment.
  • Proactive with the ability to drive projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using a HR information system (ideally Workday) and working with offshore teams.
  • Solid understanding of contingent worker engagements, specifically IR35 and HMRC obligations.
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders on policies and procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience using judgement to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Highly client-focused with strong influencing, communication, and team working skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently by telephone and face to face.
  • Ability to quickly grasp multiple IT systems.
  • Proven ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced role.
  • A strong team player who keeps colleagues updated and manages expectations.
