Overview

This role is part of the Tesco Mobile team and can be based out of either the Tesco Mobile Slough or Manchester office. We are looking for a proactive Business Analyst to join our Business Analysis Chapter and play a key role within one of our Agile squads.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a core member of the squad, actively contributing to Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Consult closely with stakeholders across squads, tribes, chapters, and centres of excellence to understand business needs and turn them into clear, prioritised requirements and user stories.
  • Investigate and analyse current (‘as‑is’) business processes, define future-state (‘to‑be’) processes, and conduct gap analysis to shape meaningful change.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements to business objectives and key results, ensuring alignment from design through to testing.
  • Act as the conduit between Business, Product, Technology and Readiness teams, helping keep everyone aligned and confident in delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement within the BA Chapter, contributing to enhancements in ways of working, tools, documentation standards, and overall team capability.

Must‑Haves (Core Qualifications)

  • Business Analysis experience, ideally in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Solid understanding of at least one Agile framework (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS).
  • Strong analytical, business process design, and requirements elicitation skills, including ‘as‑is’ and ‘to‑be’ modelling.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including working with senior business users to define priorities and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency with key BA and office tools, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business process modelling tools such as Visio.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have)

  • Understanding of the consumer mobile industry.
  • Knowledge of Telco or MVNO systems architecture and business processes.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI, Consumer Credit Act, FCA, Information Security Controls).
  • Familiarity with BA collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Orbus iServer, Slack).
  • Experience supporting teams through continuous improvement initiatives.
