From brand identity, product marketing and performance campaigns to physical brand environments, responsive web experiences, and bespoke pitches. We partner closely and cross-functionally with Product Design, and hold regular Design Town Halls where we align and cross-pollinate to cultivate our shared vision for design at Checkout. Motion Design at Checkout.com Part 1: The role You will work on a range of projects across the business, producing compelling motion design that engages our varied audiences. Sitting with the Brand & Comms function, this role helps to drive impact and brand recognition for Checkout.com. As a Senior Specialist, you will be comfortable owning in-house projects, and collaborating effectively with other Creatives, which includes brand designers, web designers, and copywriters. You will also be responsible for shaping our motion design principles, and articulating new solutions for motion across web, social, and events. Part 2: The responsibilities Deliver expertise in motion design and visual problem-solving, working alongside copywriters and other designers to bring to life ideas and concepts for a range of different projects. Manage your design workflow, including prioritisation, setting stakeholder expectations, incorporating feedback, and delivering the right design outputs to spec. Support in delivering day-to-day projects, working closely with Creative Managers and the Creative Director. Create and manage templated assets or systems for self-serve facilities, operationalising activities to increase efficiency. Partner with Product Designers on any motion design requirements. Qualifications Previous experience in a B2B in-house environment is desired, but not essential. You are an experienced motion designer, confident in creative development and visual problem-solving. You have experience working alongside designers, copywriters and other creatives to bring to life ideas and concepts for a range of different projects. Ability to creatively visualise intangible and abstract business concepts, processes, and data, turning these into compelling creative solutions. Confident in creating engaging motion outputs, implementing feedback, managing stakeholders, and delivering the right design outputs to spec. A strong understanding of typography for screen. You think holistically about the solution – the flow of content, the visual style, the conceptual approach. You’re a guardian of our brand, with a great understanding of brand and branding and how we utilise these across various channels and communications. You are comfortable articulating your work, the process, and decisions to others in the team, and are open to constructive feedback. Be comfortable owning motion projects, working with Creative Managers or the Creative Director to achieve strong solutions. A drive to deliver exceptional work and always iterate for better solutions.
