Overview

As a Security Governance and Assurance Manager, you will help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.

The Role

  • Owning and continually improving JM's Global Security Policy, Standards and site risk classification in line with the organisation's risk appetite.
  • Designing, maintaining and delivering a fit-for-purpose Level 2 security assurance programme across JM and relevant third-party sites.
  • Partnering with Group Security operations and business units to plan and conduct on-site security assurance audits and assessments.
  • Coordinating with Group Assurance and Risk teams to support the development, delivery and follow-up of Level 3 security audits.
  • Tracking, reporting and driving closure of actions arising from security assurance activity.
  • Supporting global security programmes, including penetration testing, data governance, continuous improvement initiatives and training.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role

  • Recognised qualification in Security, Business Management or a related discipline, supported by relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience identifying security risks, conducting security assurance or audit activity, and recommending pragmatic mitigation actions.
  • Strong knowledge of physical, technical and procedural security controls and their effective implementation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across geographically dispersed locations, with strong organisational skills.
  • Experience working with security-related data, reporting and analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders across corporate and operational functions in a global environment.
