Location: Home based with travel across London, Greater Manchester, and the West Midlands when needed.

Overview

You are invited to join our Employability team as a highly organised and proactive Operational Excellence Project Coordinator. This role thrives in fast‑paced environments and focuses on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to projects. You’ll support smooth communication with commissioners, oversee project delivery, and keep stakeholders aligned.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the delivery of multiple projects across Employment Services
  • Coordinating and managing commissioner communications, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
  • Maintaining project plans, trackers, and documentation to ensure clear visibility of progress
  • Monitoring milestones, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues where needed
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder activity
  • Taking minutes, tracking actions, and ensuring follow‑ups are completed
  • Producing project updates, reports, and dashboards for stakeholders
  • Supporting the implementation of service improvements, processes, and systems
  • Managing shared mailboxes and communications, ensuring queries are responded to efficiently
  • Keeping stakeholders informed and aligned through clear, timely communication

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
  • Ability to work at pace and adapt to changing priorities

Desirable

  • Experience supporting project delivery or working in a project environment
  • Knowledge of project management approaches (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Experience within employability, public sector, or service delivery
  • Basic data analysis or reporting skills
