This is a Product management role with a focus on Clearing (Exchange Trade Derivatives (ETD) and Over The Counter (OTC)) and Financing solutions within Prime Services, Markets, CIB. Prime Services offer Credit Intermediation and OTC and ETD Clearing and ETD Execution services to SCB Financial Investors clients.
The jobholder is responsible for working with the Product Lead to assist in managing product strategy, innovation and delivery over the full lifecycle of clearing related products, as well as overseeing cash management and financing activities, ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory requirements and market trends. The jobholder should collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, IT, Compliance, Markets and Operations teams to develop and enhance solutions that meet client needs, drive revenue and ensure regulatory compliance.
In Summary, The Jobholder
- Manage a book of work alongside the Product Lead, to develop and innovate Clearing product (ETD & OTC) and ETD Electronic Execution.
- Regularly reviews the product suite under their control to ensure its competitiveness and viability.
- Provides insightful analysis of industry developments, market changes and competitor offerings to identify threats and opportunities, assesses the impact on clients and offer appropriate and innovative product solutions.
- Participates in all Technology Blue, Green, Poland Squads daily stand up.
- Works collaboratively with all members of the Markets, Client Coverage, operations and technology teams to ensure cross-product, cross-business opportunities are realised.
- Strong knowledge of ETD pre-, at-, post-trade processes and knowledge of OTC products that have centrally cleared services.
- Understanding of ETD and OTC product and an in-depth understanding of EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR in Europe, Dodd-Frank, CFTC US.
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Assist in product strategy and alignment with SCB CIB broader business objectives.
- Assist in managing the product roadmap for clearing services, identifying opportunities to improve the product suite, enhance customer experience and drive profitability.
- Assist in managing sub-products features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, business priorities and SCB overall growth strategy.
- Help to define operational services and related technology to support the Prime business.
Business
- Work with both Head of Prime Product and the ETD, OTC Clearing Product Lead, to provide internal and external dialogue in the development of the clearing, cash and collateral management for Clients.
- Manage relationships with functions such as Risk, Credit, Compliance, Legal, Finance as they impact the evolution of the product suite.
- Collaborates with Technology to implement a scalable, automated, and commercially viable operating model for the business, capable of adaptation to satisfy changing business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure management of costs - both internal and external (vendors).
- Periodically reviews products to ensure profitability requirements and expectations continue to be met.
Processes
- Drive standards of performance and output across all Clearing, operations and cash management related activity.
- Helps contribute to vendor engagement.
- Oversee all processes and systems including clearing networks and risk management tools ensuring that they meet performance, security and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the smooth operation of clearing functions and post-trades processes.
People & Talent
- Imperative to work alongside the ETD and OTC clearing product lead by leading through example to build appropriate culture and values.
- Works closely and collaboratively across the P&F team to develop globally competitive products.
- Sets appropriate tone and expectations from Product team and works in collaboration with risk and control partners.

Risk Management
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and risk teams to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure product offerings align with evolving standards.
- Implement and monitor controls to mitigate operational, financial and regulatory risks related to Prime Services.
- Takes responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group.
- Maintains an understanding of risk management issues among the P&F products and teams.
- Oversees consistent treatment and management of product risks throughout the regions.
Governance
- Accountable for maintaining an appropriate balance between standardised product offering and granting exceptions to key clients on a commercial basis.
- Consults with local heads of FM / FM Ops and other relevant parties before granting significant concessions to the standard product model.
- Maintains all appropriate Product documentation and approvals.
- Ensures compliance of the product suite with all regulatory and internal control requirements.
- Assesses the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversees changes in these areas.
- Maintains awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Delivers 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; willingness to work with regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

- Work with the Prime Services Product teams across all locations to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients, Financial Crime Prevention, The Right Environment.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Manages and fulfils all regulator prescribed responsibilities such as (but not limited to) MAS, PRA and FCA requirements on Certified Persons.
Key Stakeholders
- Drive internal and external communication regarding product updates, new features and enhancements.
- Internal: serve as a liaison between Sales, Operations, Tech, Legal and Compliance teams.
- Work in close liaison with Markets Operations to determine commercially and operationally robust exceptions to standard product model.
- Help contribute to the process of gaining necessary product approvals from the above functions.
- Work with external stakeholders, such as clearing firms, exchanges, and Technology providers thus ensuring service delivery and resolve product-related issues.

Qualifications
The jobholder will have:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in product management with a focus on Financial Markets, derivatives trading and clearing, collateral and cash management and related financial products.
- Exposure to institutional grade exchange platforms - Eurex, CME, ICE, SGX, LME.
- Knowledge of financial products including FX, Rates, commodities, bonds and derivatives is a must.
- Experience with clearing systems and risk management infrastructure.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as Dodd-Frank, Emir and MIFID II.
- Strong knowledge of clearinghouse, operations and margining methodologies.
- Experience with risk systems and post-trade lifecycle tools.
- Ability to develop product business cases, conduct market analysis and present strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Treasury management experience.
- Good organisational and/or PM skills with strategic mindset.
- Experience with tools such as CONFLUENCE, TEAMS, EXCEL, WORD.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and fluent spoken and written English.
