This job is responsible for analysing processes, documenting business case opportunities, and implementing process improvement/transformation initiatives in support of Operational Excellence objectives. Key responsibilities include supporting the execution of change initiatives which may result in cost efficiencies, quality, productivity, and risk mitigation. Job expectations include working with business leaders and subject matter experts, ensuring collaboration and transparency across integrated business and technology teams, and driving execution of solutions within the budget and timeline. This role is critical to working on Continuous Improvement/OpEx opportunities across the large variety of functions within Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR), Tax, and Credit Reporting Operations & Remediation (NTCR).
Responsibilities:
- Implements low to moderately complex solutions to address issues and risks, optimize efficiency, reduce variability, and improve controls, quality, and sustainability.
- Works directly with Line of Business partners to gather information needed to identify and implement solutions that resolve critical business challenges and opportunities.
- Establishes a model for continuous process improvement by applying process engineering best practices and delivering reusable technology solutions.
- Leverages analytics and critical thinking to solve complex business problems and translate issues into structured design-oriented solutions with clearly defined business case benefits.
- Supports the development of enterprise change management deliverables for material projects including project charters, Suppliers, Inputs, Outputs, and Customers (SIPOC), Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI) process maps, risk assessments, control plans, and related artifacts.
- Manage the NTCR inventory of all Continuous Improvement (CI), OpEx and Business Improvement ideas.
- Work through the Continuous Improvement process to build out each idea with a business case and requirements, then work with the relevant solution team to execute the idea.
- Manage all Continuous Improvement, OpEx and Business Enablement ideas that require funding.
- Manage the pipeline of work for the developers supporting the Continuous Improvement process.
- Analyse impacts and data to drive continuous improvement idea.
- Raise awareness of the Continuous Improvement process, solutions available and help to build the Continuous Improvement culture across NTCO.
- Develop and maintain a current, in-depth understanding of Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR), Tax, and Credit Reporting processes.
What we are looking for:
- The ability to source and process a large volume of information that's needed to resolve project related issues to determine root cause and propose viable solution options, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent project management skill set including creating clear and coherent plans, detailed tracking, prioritisation, informing stakeholders, reporting, timely escalations, clearly defined roles/responsibilities, hosting working groups and steering forums etc.
- Committed to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change.
- Ability to change direction based on facts and data and input from others.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships that are instrumental in achieving project/business related goals.
- Ability to persuade, convince, influence, or gain the commitment of others (individuals or groups) to get them to accept a point of view, adopt a specific direction, commit to an idea, or take a course of action.
- An understanding of the fundamentals of the business and process excellence strategy and the ability to apply that knowledge to tailor approach for optimal business outcomes and short/long term benefits.
- Ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders at different levels.
- Being self-motivated, self-directed, organised and being able to manage priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines.
- Competent with Microsoft Products: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Skills that will help:
- Six Sigma Black / Green Belt Certification would be an advantage.
- Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting or financial services experience would be an advantage.
- Project management qualification such as PRINCE 2 / PMP would be an advantage.
- Microsoft Visio experience would be an advantage.
