MMB are currently looking for a Primary Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing battery energy storage system (BESS) team. You will provide subject matter expertise and collaborate with an experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers and designers, as well as supporting and mentoring junior members of the team. As part of the wider design team, the role of the Primary Electrical Design Engineer is to lead the production of electrical layouts for substations (including AIS / GIS up to 400kV), cable route layout drawings, 11kV distribution networks, 22kV distribution networks, 33kV switchrooms and control rooms, and 66kV-400kV AIS substations. Understanding of industry HV and EHV substation installation standards and specifications, including a demonstrable working understanding of TO / DNO specifications. Understanding of cable installation types, their requirements and installation parameters. Ability to take the initiative, demonstrate a pro‑active approach to activities and problems.
