The Position
Operative
Imerys Minerals Ltd – Lee Moor, Herreschoff
Salary: £24,444.42 + shift premium £6,270.29
Contract: Fixed Term Contract, 38.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operative at our Lee Moor Site. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. The Shift Multi Skilled Operator has responsibility for running the IBC machines, the bagging line and the polarite plant on a Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026.
The duties of an operator are to fulfil the above tasks accurately, in a timely manner whilst still maintaining a high focus on safety. A flexible proactive, self lead approach aimed at improving performance whilst minimising costs.
Required to work a Shift pattern with the flexibility to cover two shift patterns days and nights.

Responsibilities
- Liaises with shift supervisor on work schedule and instructions
- Operates IBC and bagging machines and associated equipment
- Operates the polarite plant
- Moves goods and skips by forklift or using other plant equipment
- Moves finished goods from production lines, placing them in the required area
- Re-stacks reject pallets and keeps record of recycled quantity, rates, quality
- Knows the relevant Internal Product Specification and packaging
- Understands product quality and customer centricity value
- Complies to sampling procedure when taking samples
- Tests of periodic samples according to quality control procedures
- Ensures the production line has all necessary consumables to run
- Maintains a clean safe work area with a high standard on housekeeping
- Maintains the necessary operational, quality, safety and environmental records
