About The Role

The Longevity Client Manager, part of the longevity pillar within the UK & Ireland Life strategy, ensures effective operational contract management and exemplary client management in a rapidly growing longevity portfolio. The role covers selected UK and Dutch business across a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of In Force and the longevity team with operational management of the in‑force longevity portfolio.
  • Deal Executions – 20%
    • Provide project‑management oversight for new deal executions, adhering to internal approval processes and delivering associated workstreams.
    • Negotiate and agree operational aspects of new deals, ensuring scalability.
    • Lead new‑deal due‑diligence exercises, including producing relevant reports.
  • Deal & Client Management – 70%
    • Lead and strengthen business relationships with specific existing clients.
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely transition from execution to business‑as‑usual.
    • Oversee delivery of business‑as‑usual and ad‑hoc elements of existing longevity transactions.
    • Lead audit activity for existing deals, producing relevant reports.
    • Assess changes to existing contractual terms, balancing client needs with business risk, and manage associated contract addendums through execution.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure deal aspects are understood and managed in line with risk appetite and guidelines.
    • Manage deadlines and deliverables, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • General Longevity Team Support – 10%
    • Project‑manage various longevity projects and agreed workstreams.
    • Produce reports and presentations as required.
    • Support promotion of longevity within the UK office and the wider Munich Re Group.

  • Experience in pensions, longevity, or reinsurance operations.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality written material (reports, presentations, stakeholder communications).

Desirable

  • Relationship management experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to review, interpret and summarise complex legal documentation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, data analysis).
  • Project management expertise.
