The Capital Dance Producer plays a key role in the day-to-day output and operations of Capital Dance, with a primary focus on producing MistaJam, alongside leading key projects, talent and interview content, and major station activity across the year. This is a hands-on, creative and varied role, working closely with Capital Dance's Executive Producer and Deputy Managing Editor to shape standout content across broadcast and multi-platform output. You will build strong relationships with presenters, artists, guests and internal teams, and be instrumental in driving the station forward creatively and operationally. You will be a great role model, passionate about the music and culture that Capital Dance plays and champions. You will ensure our output is always of the highest standard across all our broadcast and multi-platform content, with the audience at the forefront of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Show Production, MistaJam & Major Creative Projects (55%): Lead the production of MistaJam as the core focus of the role, alongside key Capital Dance projects, talent-led content, interviews and major station activity. Plan, script, produce and execute high-quality, topical and entertaining output that reflects the Capital Dance brand and delivers standout content across on-air and multi-platform moments.
- Talent, Guest & Project Coordination (15%): Build strong working relationships with presenters, guests, bookers, internal teams and external partners. Coordinate briefs, logistics, timings, studios and communication to ensure talent, interviews and projects run smoothly and professionally.
- Station Operations & Output Management (15%): Support the smooth day-to-day running of Capital Dance through logs, scheduling, production changes, asset loading and operational workflows. Work confidently across systems such as Zetta and support the implementation of seasonal, promotional and branded production.
- Digital, Commercial & Cross-Team Collaboration (15%): Work closely with digital, branded content, sound design, PR and wider programming teams to develop ideas that connect across platforms, support commercial objectives and strengthen the Capital Dance brand.

What You'll Need
- At least 2 years' experience producing relevant radio programmes or audio content, with a strong track record of high-quality output.
- Strong experience producing presenter-led content, ideally involving high-profile talent.
- The ability to produce standout interview content and talent-led features.
- Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills across both creative and operational work.
- A sharp ear for great content and the confidence to develop and improve ideas.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with presenters, management, teammates, clients and partners.
- The ability to manage big personalities and stay calm under pressure in fast-moving environments.
- Attention to detail and pride in consistently high standards.
- Good operational understanding of station workflows, scheduling and output management.
- Proficiency with Audition and Zetta, with G Selector experience an advantage.
- Experience working closely with digital teams to deliver strong content across social and multi-platform output.
- A passion for developing inspiring ideas and helping others be creative.
- Experience collaborating with branded content and commercial teams to deliver creative solutions that grow audience and revenue while staying true to brand values.
