Please note that the role comprises two positions: one permanent and one temporary fixed-term appointment lasting 12 months.
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will collaborate within an agile team of analysts, providing financial and management accounting support for the UK Commercial Finance Team, which oversees the UK Sales, Marketing, and Opex budgets. You will assist Commercial Finance Manager(s) with budgeting, forecasting, and regular financial reporting and analysis for stakeholders in the UK market. Additionally, you will support Commercial Finance Manager(s) with ad hoc requests and projects.
Key Responsibilities- You will provide business partnering support to the UK market functions (e.g. Marketing, Sales and OPEX); offering budget control, insights, analysis, and commercial finance support on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist in appraising new business plans/completed projects.
- You will have ownership and responsibility for month-end and planning tasks:
- Updates in the budget trackers (actuals and forecast)
- Forecast preparation
- Managing actuals versus forecast and challenging teams accordingly
- Coordination and preparation of accruals and reclass posting
- Comply with accounting policy, JSOX and other internal controls
- Proactively support stakeholders in adhering to all internal controls and provide input for controls on new/updated processes
- AAT and/or relevant accounting experience OR Student with an accounting or business degree.
- Experience of one to two years in a multinational organization within the finance function, encompassing reporting, budget management, analysis, and business partnering. Exposure to the FMCG sector is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and handling uncertainty.
- Strong relationship-building skills, proactivity, financial acumen, and commercial awareness.
