Position Summary: Lecturer in Social Work (0.4 FTE) at the School of Childhood and Social Care.
Responsibilities:
- Teach, mentor, supervise, and assess social work students and/or practitioners.
- Contribute to curriculum delivery, assessment and student support within Higher Education or practice learning environments.
- Work with social work students on placement and practice learning activity.
- Support students from diverse educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds.
- Participate in the development and improvement of undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work provision.
Qualifications:
- Qualified and Social Work England‑registered social worker with professional practice experience.
- Postgraduate (Masters or higher) qualification in Social Work or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary issues in social work education and statutory practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational and collaborative working skills.
- A commitment to scholarly activity and ongoing professional development.
- Knowledge of Social Work England professional standards and social work education requirements.
- Experience contributing to student support within Higher Education or practice learning environments.
