We’re looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join EIS. This role is home based involving regular nationwide travel. Permanent | Salary £68,827-£82,182 + Company car/allowance. At E.ON UK, we deliver a range of energy solutions for commercial clients, supporting decarbonisation and net zero.

Right now, we are looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer to commission electrical systems to meet design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Leading the commissioning of new assets, including PV arrays, heat pumps, and battery systems.
  • Developing acceptance criteria, commissioning plans, procedures, and good practices.
  • Leading and supporting witness testing and acceptance testing of new assets.
  • Providing technical and engineering support across existing assets (CHPs, GTs, Boilers).
  • Supporting project managers in delivering successful projects.
  • Driving continuous improvement and a safety culture across the business.
  • Delivering technical training.

What we need from you:

  • Significant experience in the energy sector, with hands-on expertise in commissioning electrical systems in line with design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • An electrical degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered with a relevant institute (IET).
  • Significant experience in electrical commissioning (including quality and handover processes).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671.
  • Full clean UK driving licence (car allowance provided).

Nice to have:

  • HV electrical experience.
  • Experience in commissioning PV assets, Heat Pumps, Commercial Batteries.
