We are seeking a Sales & Distribution Associate to support Sony Pictures Entertainment in the United Kingdom. This full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract begins Monday, 6th July 2026 and will be paid at the London living wage. The position is based in London and requires the employee to have the appropriate immigration permission to work and reside in the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive admin support to the Sales Team.
- Proactively secure release date bookings with independent cinemas.
- Help manage and maintain sales statistical analysis and market intelligence information.
- Support booking and organising meetings, conference calls, and exhibitor screenings.
- Work daily on software systems such as DEX, InterPlan, SAP and Salesforce.
- Compile research on film release dates, the UK marketplace and competitive titles.
- Help create presentations for the team (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Provide a daily update on industry news articles.
- Provide help and support to sales accounts during periods of leave.
- Watch Sony film releases and competitor film titles in the market.
- Support the Technical Manager, covering admin responsibilities.
What You’ll Learn

- The commercial sales and marketing positioning of films.
- How UK exhibitors book and play our films and the reporting and revenue cycle that follows.
- Different types of film, cinema chains, programming styles and release patterns.
- The technical aspects of film exhibition & distribution and key industry stakeholders.
- The journey of selecting release dates, marketing, promoting, and selling films into cinema chains, and analysing commercial results.
- Working as part of a fun, friendly and experienced team, while providing fresh insight into our films, strategy and processes.
Qualifications
- A calm disposition and a positive attitude.
- Proactive and shows initiative.
- Regular cinemagoer with an interest in the film business and a keen interest in commercial film.
- Positive, helpful approach.
- Ideally experienced at managing multiple tasks.
- PC literate with intermediate Outlook and Word skills and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Organised and thorough, with the ability to coordinate, prioritise and manage time appropriately.
- Builds effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
Interview Process
