Job Location: Portsmouth BroadOak, Cowes - Isle of Wight - Hybrid. Travel between 2 sites will be required. Travel regularly - 3-4 days per week on site. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements; please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £46,000 depending on experience.
Role Description
The Facilities Management Small Projects Lead is responsible for coordinating and delivering small FM projects across the Southern Region for Shared Services Facilities Management. Reporting to the FM Senior Service Delivery Manager, the role ensures that project requirements are clearly defined, solutions are fit for purpose, and delivery is consistent, safe, and aligned with organisational standards. The postholder acts as a key interface between Sectors, Suppliers, and the FM Organisation while managing contractor performance and ensuring good governance, reporting, and compliance.
Core Duties
- Coordinate and deliver small projects across the Southern Region within Shared Services FM
- Manage day-to-day communications between Sectors, Suppliers, and internal FM stakeholders
- Produce regular project reporting, providing updates on performance, status, risks, and financial position
- Track project progress against agreed plans, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions where necessary
- Oversee site visits and surveys across the south coast region to scope works and confirm technical requirements
- Manage a pool of trusted contractors, monitoring performance, safety compliance, and delivery standards
- Ensure project cost performance is tracked and reported accurately against allocated budgets
- Support the application and adherence of Health & Safety and CDM processes throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate risk management activities to identify, record, and mitigate project risks
Essential Skills
- Experience coordinating small works or FM projects within a multi-site environment
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations
- Good communication skills, capable of managing relationships with sectors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Experience in budget tracking, financial reporting, and general commercial awareness
- Competent in producing clear, concise reporting and project documentation
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the southern region
