Overview
This position is part of CGI's Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit, focusing on the delivery of technical solutions for government agencies. The role involves guiding, assuring and delivering integrated automation solutions in partnership with clients. CGI offers a competitive salary, pension, private healthcare, and a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching). The organisation emphasizes inclusivity and development opportunities.
The role is suitable for some office or home-based work but requires onsite attendance in Gloucester due to secure access requirements. You must hold a UK Security Clearance or be willing to obtain one; higher level clearance is desirable. Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and environments.
- Collaborate with testers to ensure scripts run and results integrate with dashboards.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, team meetings, stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions with the team, partners and clients.
Qualifications to be Successful
- Hands-on experience deploying virtualised workloads with L3/L4 networking.
- Skilled in configuration and automation tools such as Robot Framework, Go, vCentre Networks.
- Experience with RedHat or CentOS Linux (System Admin and Bash) and/or Windows (System Admin and PowerShell).
- Use of tooling such as Jenkins, InfluxDB and Grafana.
- Experience with containerisation/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Desired Competencies
- Experience of infrastructure engineering on Cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS).
- Understanding of software and infrastructure testing.
- Understanding of test management tools (e.g., TestRail and/or X-Ray).
- Creation and configuration of reporting dashboards with Splunk and/or ELK stack.
