Your Role
- Be trusted to own and shape the product vision and influence the team to ensure that the client receives high‑impact and value from each iteration, ensuring that client outcomes, user needs and business value are clearly understood and translated into actionable delivery priorities.
- Identify opportunities for emerging technologies, including AI and generative AI, to solve real user problems and transform organisations.
- Understand business needs, technology constraints and strategic priorities, owning and shaping the backlog to ensure it reflects user needs, business value and delivery feasibility.
- As the agile squad is often cross‑functional, your client‑facing presence is essential – with the ability to communicate clearly at sprint reviews.
- Lead agile events, such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork.
- Lead rapid experimentation, proof of concept and pilot activity where appropriate, validating assumptions and iterating based on user feedback, data and measurable outcomes.
Your Profile
- Significant experience in a user‑centred product or service development project, ideally complex digital transformation environments.
- Experience shaping or delivering AI‑enabled products, services or propositions.
- Understanding of AI technologies and delivery considerations, including generative AI, large language models, data requirements and integration into enterprise environments.
- Experience leading discovery, experimentation, proof of concept or pilot activity to validate AI‑enabled product ideas before scaling delivery.
- Ideally – Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, using GDS design principles.
- Vast knowledge and understanding of agile delivery, with experience of leading teams through discovery, alpha, beta, live service or equivalent delivery phases.
- A passion for working with cross‑functional business and Technology teams to deliver business outcomes.
- The ability to make decisions on business priority, working with business analysts to ensure your requirements are known, defined and able to be built and delivered.
- Awareness of responsible AI considerations and a clear viewpoint on how AI can be applied to deliver genuine user value and measurable return on investment.
- Experience of proposition building and delivery.
