Overview

Solicitor (2-6 PQE), Scotland Liability Team – Location: Glasgow (primary) / Edinburgh (regular presence encouraged). Team: Scotland Liability.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of matters, consisting of primarily personal injury work.
• Work closely with a Legal Director and senior lawyers on more complex, technical, and high-value cases.
• Handle a diverse range of liability matters, including regulatory and non-injury claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare advice reports, and provide clear and effective client communication.
• Attend court hearings, consultations, and meetings as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Liability team based across both the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

Requirements

• 2-6 years\’ post-qualification experience.
• Litigation experience is essential; experience in personal injury or general delict is preferred.
• Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive, flexible approach, with a willingness to work between the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices as well as from home.

Working Arrangement

• This is an office-based role with a hybrid element.
• The expectation is 4-5 office days attendance initially, transitioning to a 3/2 office-home split if you wish once established.
