About the role

Are you committed to protecting the environment and supporting responsible, compliant operations? This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a varied and dynamic industrial landscape. We are seeking a motivated, confident, and proactive Environmental Adviser to work closely with our operational teams, helping ensure we meet high standards of environmental performance and regulatory compliance.

You will play a key role in embedding strong environmental practices, providing technical guidance, and supporting managers in delivering safe and responsible operations. You will be a primary point of contact for environmental matters across several UK sites, providing advice on compliance, incident response, inspections, statutory reporting, and the ongoing development of our Environmental Management System (EMS). The role combines time on site with wider organisational support, offering you the opportunity to build relationships, influence outcomes and shape the way we manage environmental responsibilities. This position provides a strong platform for personal and professional development, whether you wish to grow into a senior adviser role, specialise in auditing or compliance, or progress into wider EHS leadership.

What you will be doing

  • Environmental Compliance
  • Ensuring sites meet environmental permit, licence and regulatory requirements.
  • Carrying out inspections and audits to identify risks, non‑conformities, and improvement opportunities.
  • Providing practical, calm support during environmental issues and incidents.
  • Liaising constructively with regulators such as the Environment Agency, local councils, DEFRA and other authorities.
  • ISO 14001
