Join E.ON's growing I&C business, the UK's leading B2B energy supplier. We're investing in a world-class digital future, and we're looking for 2 talented Solution Engineers to join our Engineering & Service Management team in Solihull on a permanent basis, driving the delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative digital solutions across multiple environments.
As a Solution Engineer, you'll work across the full product lifecycle – designing, building and supporting digital products that enable key business areas such as sales, billing, pricing, metering and industry processes. You'll collaborate with architects, software & data engineers, product teams and suppliers to develop robust, secure and high‑performing solutions aligned to E.ON's digital strategy.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Translate business requirements and designs into technical solutions
- Build scalable cloud-based solutions using cloud based enterprise platforms
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and drive automation and AI opportunities
- Ensure security, resilience, monitoring and operational excellence (SRE mindset)
- Integrate data flows and software components into end-to-end solutions
- Work with architecture to define low-level designs and challenge existing approaches
- Collaborate across teams and support continuous improvement
What we need from you:
Essential
- Strong engineering experience in complex enterprise environments
- Hands‑on knowledge of Azure, APIM, MS Dynamics, SnowflakeBricks, SQL or similar
- CI/CD and automation mindset (Terraform (OpenTofu)/Crossplane desirable)
- Experience of DevOps and product‑based ways of working
- Strong communication and ability to learn quickly
Desirable
- Cloud or other technical certifications
- Experience with regulated sectors or utilities
- Knowledge of outsourcing/global delivery
