The Credit & Middle Office provides a number of credit administration support services to the banking team, including Portfolio Management, Client Onboarding, Transaction Capture, Lifecycle Monitoring, Fund Administration, Reporting and other Administrative tasks. The Analyst position in Transaction Management & Control team works closely with a number of colleagues within CIB Banking and the Corporate functions to ensure smooth transaction analysis, execution and monitoring.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the client onboarding / periodic reviews from an anti-money laundering / know-your-customer perspective, to include client registration and account opening.
- Undertake the booking of loans / treasury facilities requested by other Branches and overseeing the process to ensure timely execution.
- Performance of and subsequent ongoing management of all required administrative workflow streams within the team, including preparing credit applications and inputting of approved loan limits into Mizuho's systems.
- Process client requests ensuring the bank's systems are updated in respect of static and non-static data (e.g. client contact details, address information, SSI).
- Perform "four-eye" checking of data accuracy for colleagues including loan booking systems prior to execution.
- Managing Primary and Secondary Loan Closing (Loan Settlement) process ensuring timely and accurate settlement of trades.
- Monitor Covenants by ensuring that covenant shells are created promptly and accurately in the system. Ensure limits in the systems are accurately booked and monitor exposure movements to ensure they are legitimate.
- Monitor the outsourced processes for onboarding / periodic reviews and for covenant monitoring to ensure the correct and timely input of data into those systems.
- Undertake and manage periodic reporting.
- Maintain a good knowledge of internal policies and regulations.
- General planning and administrative support to effectively organise the workload of the wider team.
- Assist in the deposit desk's trade execution including acting as a back-up "four-eye" checker to ensure the accuracy and completeness of deposit booking workflows.
- Assist in any ad hoc / project related work that may be assigned.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 'A' Levels or equivalent.
- Minimum of (3)-years' experience in a Financial environment, preferably in banking.
- Strong writing and communication skills required to be able to liaise with internal stakeholders / other Departments within the Bank.
- Basic understanding of loan and treasury products, i.e. Forex trades, Derivatives (Interest rate Swaps and Cross Currency Swaps) and Time Deposit.
- Strong organisational skills required to be able to multitask day-to-day administrative duties across the team.

- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Experience in a middle office role within a Financial Institution.
